WINDSOR, ONT.— Unifor members at First Student Canada in Windsor ratified a new three-year agreement today, Sept. 13, 2025, with their school bus employer, that includes a 13% wage increase over the life of the contract.
“Congratulations to the bargaining committee for their tenaciousness when it came to getting a fair collective agreement for our members,” said Unifor National President Lana Payne.
WINDSOR, ONT.—Unifor won’t be intimidated by First Student Canada after the school bus company threatened to lock out its Windsor, Ont. school bus drivers if they refuse to take their offer, which continues to underpay and undermine the members.
“This is bordering on bad faith bargaining,” said Unifor National President Lana Payne.
DURHAM, Ont.—Unifor is warning the community of potential strike action by First Student school bus drivers servicingelementary and high school students in Whitby and Ajax in Durham Region.
DURHAM—Members of Unifor Local 4268, who are First Student Bus drivers in Bowmanville, Ontario, have voted 87% in favour of ratifying a new three-year contract from their employer.

Unifor members of First Student Bus in Kingston, Ont. have a new three-year deal to celebrate.
“This contract continues to build momentum for our First Student Bus members, beginning with the gains in the recent Cornwall agreement to this one,” said Unifor National President Lana Payne.
Unifor members of First Student Bus – which provides school bus services for English and French language schools in Cornwall and Embrun, Ont. – recently ratified their four-year contract by 91%.
PRESCOTT, ONT.—The members at Unifor Local 4266 who work at First Student bus in Prescott, Ont., near Kingston, have unanimously voted for their first contract.
“Congratulations to the bargaining committee for its work in this milestone contract,” said Unifor National President Lana Payne.
TORONTO—Unifor is pleased to come to a voluntary recognition agreement with First Student Bus during a contract flip, which protects the seniority of Unifor Local 4268 members, who currently service bus routes at Stock Transportation in Toronto.
“Far too often, we see examples of contract flipping in this sector,” said Unifor National President Lana Payne.
