Unifor Local 2002 members at Air Canada Flight Operations Crew Scheduling have ratified a new four-year collective agreement, with 96% voting in favour.
“Congratulations to the bargaining committee for negotiating a fair deal that reflects the essential role our aviation members play in airline operations,” said Unifor National President Lana Payne.
“Their precision, expertise, and dedication are critical to ensuring the airline operates smoothly.”
This agreement concludes a long and challenging round of bargaining that began on April 8, 2025, and marks a historic milestone, as it is the first renewed agreement for this group since 2015.
Unifor Local 2002 represents approximately 120 Flight Ops Crew Scheduling members across Canada, whose work is essential to Air Canada’s daily operations.
These members coordinate complex logistics that keep flights running safely and efficiently, from scheduling flight crews to arranging accommodations and transportation, while maintaining constant communication across operational teams.
“This agreement is a testament to the power of our collective voice. Negotiations were long and incredibly challenging, but we refused to settle for less than what our members deserve,” said Tammy Moore, President of Unifor Local 2002.
“By standing together, we have secured a deal that not only rewards your hard work today but also protects their retirement and health for years to come. I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together.”
The new agreement delivers meaningful gains, including wage increases, a lump sum payment, enhanced health benefits, and a significant increase to the pension cap to $88,000.
This pension improvement is especially significant, the first increase since 1999, bringing long-overdue progress to retirement security after more than 25 years.
