Unifor’s 2026 Canadian Council will take place in Canada’s capital city, Ottawa, Ontario, August 28-30, 2026.
Our union is a force to Protect Canadian Jobs for all members and working people in Canada. Unifor continues to celebrate the wins as we organize workers and fight to secure collective bargaining gains during these uncertain economic times impacted by tariffs and uncertainty.
We hope you will join us as we chart the course for our union in the upcoming year and help shape our next National Bargaining Program. All Unifor local unions are encouraged to participate in the upcoming Canadian Council.
Canadian Council will be held August 28-30, 2026, at the Rogers Centre Ottawa, 55 Colonel By Drive, Ottawa, ON. The Council will convene on Friday, August 28 at 9:00 a.m. and will adjourn by 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 30. The Council will take place in Canada Hall 2 & 3 on the third level of the convention centre.
There is no registration fee for the Canadian Council. Registration is required in advance through our online registration system. Local delegate entitlements will follow the call letter and be sent directly to Local Presidents. Registration for Canadian Council is available online only. Delegate entitlements will be sent directly to the Local Presidents in a separate email.
