The Unifor National Retail, Wholesale and Food Sector Conference will take place April 4-6 in Toronto, Ontario. This is an exciting conference as it is our first one since 2019 and follows a period of historic bargaining and organizing in supermarkets, warehousing and food processing workplaces.

This conference will bring together affiliates and the executive of the Retail Industry Council, members, activists, local union leadership and staff across Canada to discuss, debate and organize worker power in the retail and food supply chain. Conference attendees will receive presentations from Unifor leadership, national research staff, organizers, and other community activists and experts on a range of topics relevant to the sector. Attendees will also have time to discuss workplace issues, identify challenges as well as shared struggles that will contribute to crafting a union-led retail and food supply chain strategy.

Locals are encouraged to register and book accommodations early as space is limited. The registration deadline is Friday, March 14.

The conference will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 4, and will conclude no later than 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 6. On-site registration will take place on Friday beginning at 6:00 p.m.
