Let's build an energy future that makes us all proud

As we move forward and embrace alternative energy sources, fossil fuels will continue to remain a crucial component of the world’s energy needs for decades to come.

The  problem is that while we have a long history of oil and gas refinement, our legacy has been slipping away—and taking with it thousands of well-paying Canadian jobs.

Sadly, our energy policy has focused on shipping unprocessed oil and gas to foreign markets for refining while we actually import refined products for domestic use—and that just doesn't make sense.

So how do we change that? By investing in more infrastructure, more processing and more refining, which in turn will create more jobs and a stronger economy.

If we are to continue as a world-leader in the supply of energy, let’s do so as producers of finished products, not just raw materials.
