Bargaining opened on Sept. 14, 2026, with the current collective agreement expiring on Dec. 31, 2026.

On behalf of over 1,800 WestJet airport workers in Toronto (YYZ), Calgary (YYC), and Vancouver (YVR), the bargaining committee is seeking fair wage increases, stronger job security, improved scheduling and working conditions that recognize members’ essential contribution to safe, reliable air travel and service.

Unifor Local 531 represents workers providing customer services, priority services, baggage services, ramp services, as well as airport operation coordinators at Toronto Pearson International Airport, Calgary International Airport, and Vancouver International Airport.

This is the second round of bargaining for Unifor members at WestJet. Members are determined to build on the foundation established in their first collective agreement and secure the respect, fairness and stability they deserve.

On this page, you will find resources and updates on negotiations. Stay informed and involved as we work together to build a stronger future for Unifor members at WestJet.
