Re: Unifor in solidarity with striking Mexican auto workers at Audi
On behalf of Unifor’s 315,000 members across Canada, we extend our full support and solidarity with the more that 4,000 striking auto workers represented by the Independent Union of Audi Mexico Workers (SITAUDI) at the Audi plant in Puebla, Mexico.
Unifor stands in solidarity with workers in Argentina as they unite in a national general strike to oppose far-reaching anti-worker reforms being introduced by President Javier Milei. These reforms would grossly undermine basic workers’ rights and protections across the country, leaving millions of workers open to rampant abuse and exploitation.
This year marks a significant milestone for Unifor's Social Justice Fund (SJF) as it celebrated its 10th anniversary.

It is never an easy decision for working people to take strike action in the pursuit of a fair collective agreement. The withdrawal of labour is the cornerstone of free and fair collective bargaining.

On behalf of our 315,000 members across Canada, Unifor would like to express our deep concerns regarding the deaths of eight migrants, including two children under 3 years of age, discovered in the St. Lawrence River near Akwesasne, Quebec on March 30th, 2023.
April 24 marks the ten-year anniversary of the tragic Rana Plaza disaster in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The disaster exposed the dangerous and difficult working conditions that garment workers are forced to endure in the name of fast fashion.
