Bargaining with TTR opens in Vancouver
Dear Members,
Your Unifor bargaining committee met with Toronto Terminals Railway (TTR) in Vancouver on Tuesday, October 6 to open negotiations for a new collective agreement. The committee went in focused on the priorities you raised, and this first meeting marks the start of the process.
The early sessions are mostly about exchanging proposals and setting a schedule for the talks ahead. Bargaining takes time, so don’t expect a deal to come quickly, and don’t read too much into quiet stretches. Your committee will report back as soon as there is something real to share.
Official updates will come through Rail Line and your local leadership. If you hear something at work or online, check it with your union rep before passing it on. Some details have to stay at the table for now. That protects our bargaining position. It is not about keeping members in the dark.
In the meantime, make sure your local has your current personal email and cell number so updates reach you quickly. Talk with your co-workers, too. A united membership is what gives your committee its strength at the table.
We’ll keep you posted as talks move forward.
In solidarity,
Your Unifor TTR Bargaining Committee
