Tracey Ramsey, Women's Director

Tracey is the Women’s Director for Unifor representing 118,000 Unifor Sisters across Canada in all sectors. She is an autoworker from Southwestern Ontario, where she worked at Ford Motor Company engine plants in Windsor since 1996.  Tracey is a grassroots activist with a strong focus on social justice.  She is a former National Coordinator in the Organizing Department, Discussion Leader and Women’s Committee Chairperson. She currently serves on the National Taskforce for Economic Justice, is a council member of Ontario Coalition for Better Child Care, board member of Child Care Now and President of UNI Global Americas Women’s Committee. While laid off in 2008 she graduated from Practical Nursing at St. Clair College. 

Tracey is a former Member of Parliament for the Riding of Essex (2015-2019), where she served as the New Democratic Party (NDP) International Trade, Justice and Deputy Labour Critic holding the role of Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee on International Trade. She is also a member of the Canadian Association of Former Parliamentarians. Tracey describes herself as a passionate working-class feminist, policy wonk, and community advocate. 

 

Gwen Campbell, National Representative 

Gwen has been a National Rep, since 2019, working out of the Women’s Department. She comes out of the Stellantis Mopar Parts Depot in Mississauga, where she held many roles, including committee person, Women’s Advocate and Workplace Trainer. She is part of Local 1285 where she was also held the role of Women’s Committee chairperson for many years and was a member of various other committees. 

She was thrilled to also have been a Discussion Leader for the National Union, where she facilitated Women’s Courses, Human Rights and Conflict Resolution. 

Gwen enjoys spending time talking to our members, and really enjoyed her time in the Organizing Department, meeting potential new members. 

Gwen is passionate about Women’s Rights and continues to advocate for women in our union and across our communities.
