WINDSOR—Unifor and Titan Tool & Die have reached an agreement, bringing a nearly year-long lockout to an end.
“While the end of operations is not the outcome we hoped for, our members will now receive the severance payment that they are due,” said Unifor National President Lana Payne. “Unifor truly appreciates the support of our broader union in this struggle and the amazing solidarity these members received throughout.”
Approximately 25 Local195 members have been locked out of the Windsor, Ontario facility since August 11, 2025. The workers have between 30 and 40 years of service and an average age of 59 years. On January 13, 2026, the Company notified Unifor it had ceased operations.
“For nearly a year and through every season, these workers have held firm on the picket line to get what they were owed,” said Emile Nabbout, President of Unifor Local 195. “I commend their strength and thank the Windsor community for standing by our members during this fight for fairness.”
