Unifor Indigenous Liaison Gina Smoke will be joined by Mi’kmaq lawyer, professor and activist Pam Palmater to discuss Indigenous protocols, customs, and etiquette to ensure inclusive and respectful practices. Topics covered include land acknowledgments, proper greetings, cultural sensitivities, and effective communication strategies. Participants will gain practical knowledge to create welcoming environments that honor Indigenous traditions and promote meaningful engagement within union activities.
