This weekend is one of the most significant in the Ontario Election.

With just under two weeks left until Election Day, Unifor Regional Director Naureen Rizvi encourages all members to get out this weekend to vote and volunteer to defend workers’ rights and make their voices heard.

“This is your shot. Sign up to volunteer today with the Unifor Votes campaign. Our volunteers will connect you with events across the province, and together, we will make a difference,” said Rizvi.

“The tides are changing. Ford’s support is slipping, but there are tight races in every region of our province, where PC MPPs are vulnerable or where progressives are fighting to hold on. We can stop Doug Ford from winning a second majority government if we vote and volunteer,” she continued.

Unifor members are working hard, volunteering in campaigns across the province, and talking directly to members in the member-to-member outreach campaign.

“Last night I joined nearly thirty Unifor sisters in Windsor-Tecumseh, where we volunteered and knocked on voters’ doors for our local ONDP candidate. The response was so great! Voters know that they can’t count on Doug Ford’s conservatives,” said Unifor Votes Coordinator and Local 240 President Jodi Nesbitt.

Sign up for an upcoming Unifor Votes canvass in your area this weekend to connect with other members who care about this election.

Advanced polls are open for ten days, from May 19-28, with multiple locations in ridings across the province. Find your polling place now through Elections Ontario.

Voting early is a great way to lock in your vote so that come Election Day, nothing can get in your way. There are still many ways to vote, including in person on Election Day on June 2.
