Unifor lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) activists and allies will be hitting the streets this year for Toronto’s Pride.

Our union celebrates the diversity of and continues to advocate for the rights of all 2SLGBTQI peoples. However, this celebration and advocacy work is set against a backdrop of a disturbing trend of increasingly violent and hateful acts targeting trans and queer people. With hate on the rise, it has never been clearer that 2SLGBTQI issues are union issues.

This year’s pride parade is an important moment to come together as a union to extend our solidarity.

There are a lot of events happening, but we want to encourage you to join Unifor LGBTQ members and allies at the following three events on June 23, 24 & 25:

Trans march

Friday, June 23 at 7:00 p.m.  - Meet at Church and Hayden streets

The Trans Pride March is one of the largest annual events of the Trans community in Canada. All Trans identified people, their friends, and allies are welcome.

Dyke march

Saturday, June 24 at 2:00 p.m. - Meet at Church and Hayden streets

From 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of Hayden St. and Church St., enjoy speakers, performances and sign-making that really get you in the mood for a rally. At 2:00 p.m. we march, loud and proud.

Pride Parade - Sunday, June 25, Meetup at 3:15 p.m.

Unifor is D31, and our contingent is behind the Gilead and before RW&CO.

Arrive early at 3:15 p.m. on TED ROGERS WAY AND CHARLES ST E to be in the parade.

We’re here, we’re there, we’re everywhere!

It’s that time again! Time to celebrate who you are, with your community, at Pride Toronto’s 2023 Pride Parade. Come early to get your pride t-shirt. Our limited quantities will go fast!
