Premier Stephen McNeil and his cabinet proclaimed Bill 148 which imposes wages freezes and concessions on thousands of workers across the province, including 4,500 Unifor members who work in health care, long-term care, and in government funded or regulated workplaces.

With this, McNeil and his government have continued their attack on fair and free collective bargaining and workers’ constitutional rights.

Join Unifor members on Thursday, September 21 at 12:00 noon on the Halifax Waterfront, between the Marriott and Lower Deck, where we meet to march together to the Nova Scotia Legislature (Province House)

Come decked out in your Unifor gear. Some additional shirts will be available on a first-come first-serve basis.

RSVP on Facebook.

Transportation

Free bus transportation is available for members living in Truro and Sydney. You must reserve your seat in advance. Some additional parking is available at the Unifor Halifax office for people driving from out of town. Space is limited. Contact Jessica at @email or (902)452-1432 to reserve both.
