Unifor Local 1285 members at Vast-Auto Distribution are on strike and need your support.
Workers at Vast-Auto Distribution in Brampton were forced to strike earlier this week after the employer walked away from the bargaining table on Friday. The vast majority of Unifor members in the Brampton Vast-Auto facility are making around $12.70 per hour and pay for their own benefits. These members are overwhelmingly marginalized and immigrant workers hired through temp agencies.
A solidarity picket and demonstration is planned for this Friday, February 10 at the Vast-Auto facility located at 31 Canadian Road in Scarborough from 8:00 am until noon. Show up to stand against ongoing exploitation of the members of Unifor Local 1285.
