The Federal Pay Equity is now law and workplace committees are being set up in all our Federally regulated workplaces. Unifor has scheduled a three-day program for members chosen to be on these committees.

This three-day program will provide federal pay equity committee members with the information, skills, and tools needed for their role. The pay equity process can appear overwhelming, but we are confident that participants will feel ready to take it on after our training.

Local union approval is required to take this program.

The deadline to get on the list is May 18, 2023.

The program will run in two parts via Zoom (in English):

Part 1: Day 1: Thurs., May 25, 2023, and Day 2: Fri., May 26, 2023 (11. a.m. ET to 4 p.m. ET)

Part 2: Day 3 via Zoom (in English) Monday, June 12, 2023 (11 a.m. ET to 2 p.m. ET) designed as a follow-up session for additional support, updates and questions.

Please note: This course has participants from coast-to-coast, so we have adjusted our start and end time to accommodate time zones as best as possible.

To participate in these sessions, participants will need to use a computer and be able to download files.

Step one: Participants must get on our class list. Do this by going to: https://onlineeducation.unifor.org/federal_pay_equity_may_05252023

Step two: The Education department will send follow-up details to those on the list prior to the course.

Step three: Participants must set up a profile on our Education Learning Management Platform: https://unifor.docebosaas.com/learn/register  to access course materials and Zoom links required for the course.

As with all three-day programs, the national union does a 50/50 cost share with locals.
