It’s been a year now since 32 workers in Gander were locked out by their U.S, based employer.
Just days before Christmas 2016, Rezaul Chowdhury’s company, D-J Composites put Unifor members on the street. Guilty of bad faith bargaining, the company’s idea of negotiating was to freeze or cut wages, gut seniority and try to bust the union. Lets show Chowdhury and the provincial government that legislation is needed so “bad apple” employers can’t ignore local labour laws.
Respect workers and collective bargaining.
