Dear Unifor Ontario Local Unions;
The 2026 Ontario Regional Council (ORC) will be held in-person at the Blue Mountain Village Conference Centre, The Blue Mountains, from December 4 to 5, 2026. Please ensure delegates are prepared to stay until adjournment on Saturday, December 5 at 5:00 p.m.
Our union continues to stand at the forefront of a defining fight for working people. Good jobs, strong communities as well as the industries and sectors that sustain them are still facing growing pressure from economic uncertainly, political decisions and the changing nature of work. Our union continues to stand strong. Together, we will reaffirm our commitment to Protect Canadian Jobs and the communities they sustain.
The 2026 ORC will provide an important opportunity for delegates from across Ontario to come together, share experiences, and help shape the priorities of our region for the year ahead.
We encourage locals to support the participation of equity deserving members by selecting equity representation (Women, Black, Indigenous and Workers of Colour,
Workers with disAbilities, 2SLGBTQIA+ and Young Workers 35 and under) as part of their delegation. As part of our ongoing commitment to equity, we are requesting that locals utilize the special delegate entitlement allotted under the ORC bylaws.
Additionally, in accordance with the ORC By-laws, an election will be held to fill the following position on the Executive:

Registration is required in advance and will take place via our online registration system.
Local Union Presidents have received the 2026 online usernames and passwords. If you require assistance, please email @email. Local Delegate Entitlement information will be sent in a separate email.
Registration is online, please visit https://register1.unifor.org. The registration deadline is Friday, November 13, 2026.
Your Local’s registration information has been sent via email. As the head of the delegation, it is the President’s responsibility to register all members of a Local’s delegation.
