Across Canada, child care centres are closing rooms and limiting enrolment because they cannot retain staff in their programs. Steps have been taken to reduce parent fees, but structural change won’t happen until ECEs have a professional wage grid!

A child care staffing shortage, driven by low wages and poor working conditions, is threatening the accessibility of child care for families.

Child care workers and parents need Canada’s premiers to carry out their commitments to improve child care now.

Will you join Unifor at a rally on Wednesday, November 30 to demand better child care?
