Unifor members at Local 1917 have unanimously ratified a new three-year contract at Wellington Motors in Guelph, Ont.

Among the gains include a minimum wage increase or 3% per year, job consolidation that led to larger wage increases, increases to tool allowance, eye wear and safety boots and company-paid license renewal. The new contract also includes Racial Justice Advocate language, three paid sick days, 10 days of domestic abuse leave and a $700 gross signing bonus.

“Congratulations to our bargaining committee fought for the best deal for our auto dealership members,” said Jerry Escott, President of Local 1917.
