“A nursing home should be a safe place to live and work, but this pandemic has shown that the opposite is true in Ontario,” said Naureen Rizvi, Unifor Ontario Regional Director. “As many Unifor members in LTC bargain new contracts this year, we hope that they feel the full support of Ontario’s workers with them at the table. With this video, we invite all Ontarians to join the call for time to care. This means safer work, better care, and fair pay.”

The video features, Ayan, one of thousands of care workers who go to work every day during a pandemic.

LTC workers like Ayan put their lives at risk for someone else's family member because they love them like their own.

Viewers hear about the hope of LTC and nursing home workers that one day there will be enough staff, so that they have time to care and keep their residents safe. The video points out that the conditions of work are the conditions of care.

The ad will be shown across TV networks in Ontario in the coming months, where viewers across the province will be invited to support LTC workers.
