On February 14, Unifor sent a Valentine to Ontario Premier Doug Ford and Minister of Education Stephen Lecce once again asking them to sign the federal child care plan to deliver affordable, accessible child care to Ontario families.

Monday, February 21 is Family Day – the perfect day for families to deliver another important reminder that time is running out for Ontario to secure the first year of funding from the federal government. If the province does not sign the deal before March 31, 2022, it will forfeit $1.2 billion that could go toward creating more quality child care spaces.

We can’t let that happen!

Watch our website and social media channels for a toll-free number to call on Monday to leave a voicemail for one of five Ontario Members of Provincial Parliament (MPPs) and tell them what affordable, accessible, quality child care would mean to you!

Ontario families need child care. Now.
