Unifor 7378 Sunwing pilots open contract talks

Unifor National President Jerry Dias joined Unifor 7378 pilots at Sunwing Airlines to kick off contract negotiations with the employer.

"Our members have been pivotal to the success of Sunwing and we're seeking a contract that reflects that," said Jerry Dias, Unifor National President. “I have no doubt that with the tenacity and leadership of Unifor 7378, a fair and equitable contract will be reached for the hardworking pilots at Sunwing.”

The Unifor 7378 Sunwing Pilot collective agreement is set to expire November 30, 2020.

"It's our hope that Sunwing comes to the table with progressive solutions that will help alleviate the stark realities facing pilots and the airline industry as a whole,” said Barret Armann Local 7378 President. “Our membership has given the bargaining committee a clear directive to reach an agreement that respects and values the work of all pilots.”

Unifor represents 452 pilots at Sunwing Airlines Inc. who operate out of six bases across Canada- Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, Toronto, Montréal, Quebec City.
