Returning for National Bargaining in April 2022

Share

Dear members,

Recap: last year upon the completion of provincial bargaining, the public health restrictions in place meant we did a one-year roll over collective agreement that was ratified by the membership with a wage increase that expired on March 31, 2022.

Where we are at: Your national bargaining committee has come together in Toronto to begin negotiations. We know the membership have very strong issues that need to be dealt during this round of negotiations. Your bargaining committee remains committed to the process of all provincial local unions working in solidarity to achieve the best collective agreement as we have done in the past by negotiating together.

The employer took a very aggressive position in their opening few passes. We are committed to fending off such concessions and we will keep you updated as we move through the issues.

What is next: We thank you all for your participation and continued support of your provincial and national bargaining committees. Please watch for further updates and notices of local membership meetings providing updates.

Thank you and remain safe,
Unifor Locals 114, 4050, 755, 4457, and 4005

In solidarity,
Your Loomis National Master Bargaining Committee
