CNTL Strike Vote Results & Next Steps

Dear Members,

We want to extend our sincerest thanks to all who participated in the recent Canadian National Translation Ltd (CNTL) strike vote, which concluded at midnight yesterday. Your active involvement is crucial to our collective bargaining efforts.

We are pleased to announce that a decisive 82% majority have voted in favour of authorizing a strike should negotiations with the employer fail to reach an agreement.

This result demonstrates a strong mandate from members to pursue our demands for fairer working conditions, benefits, and respect on the job.

We have scheduled further bargaining sessions with CNTL the week of May 1-7 in Toronto. The Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS) will participate in these discussions.

Your support empowers us to stand firm in our negotiations, ensuring we achieve the best possible outcomes for members. Your bargaining team is committed to keeping you informed every step of the way and are dedicated to representing our collective interests at the bargaining table.

Thank you once again for your support and solidarity.

In solidarity,

Your CNTL Bargaining Committee
