ST. JOHN'S, Sept. 9, 2016 /CNW/ - Over 200 delegates from the Unifor's energy sector will meet to discuss mental health in the workplace.

"There's still a lot of work to do to ensure safe and healthy working environments in the energy sector," said Walter Manning, Unifor National Representative and Director of the Fund. "When we open up the dialogue and accept to talk about mental health, we take a step towards improving the working conditions in our sector."
The HSIRT Fund is co-funded by Unifor and employers to improve health and safety standards in energy sector workplaces.

Unifor is Canada's largest union in the private sector, representing more than 310,000 workers. It was formed Labour Day weekend 2013 when the Canadian Auto Workers and the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers unions merged.
