Local 114 members end Ocean Concrete job action with gains

VICTORIA---Wage increases and benefits enhancements characterize a new contract for Local 114 members locked out for six weeks by Ocean Concrete.

"The Local 114 members at Ocean Concrete deserve to be congratulated for staying strong on the picket line," said Jerry Dias, Unifor National President.

The three-year contract is retroactive to 2020 and includes a signing bonus and wage increases applicable in 2021 and 2022.

Local 114 members were also able to resist concessions demanded by the employer at the start of the lockout.
