Members of Local 101R have voted to ratify a new four-year collective agreement that includes wage increases and other pattern setting wins for rail workers at CP.

“The bargaining committee worked hard to negotiate this agreement that includes significant gains, advances rail workers’ rights, and sets the pattern for the sector,” said Jerry Dias, Unifor National President.

Local 101R represents 1200 workers from British Columbia to Quebec, who service locomotives and freight cars, and produce track and freight car/locomotive components.

The deal includes a 2.5 per cent increase in each of the first two years and a 3 per cent increase in each of the last two years.

“We are pleased to ratify an agreement that was reached in a respectful manner, without any concessions, and will better the working lives of CP workers across Canada,” said Joel Kennedy, Unifor Local 101R President.
