Brother Drost,

We know that the decision to strike is never taken lightly, and certainly CUPE NB members were no exception when they delivered their strong strike mandate.

I am writing to express the support of Unifor’s Atlantic Region for the 22,000 CUPE NB members who walked off the job last week, as well as the further 3,000 locked-out by Premier Higgs over the weekend.

Unifor recognizes the valuable contributions of public sectors workers, many of whom have been working tirelessly on the front lines of the ongoing pandemic.

Many of our members across New Brunswick have visited picket lines over the past few days to show their support and solidarity.

Please do not hesitate to reach out if there is anything we can do to support the effort to get a fair deal for CUPE NB members.

In Solidarity,

Linda MacNeil
Unifor Atlantic Regional Director
