TORONTO- Unifor representatives will be available to comment following the release of the provincial budget on Wednesday, March 24.

“Workers are looking to the province to better protect Ontarians from COVID-19 while also building the infrastructure and services that we need to lead us all out of this crisis,” said Jerry Dias, Unifor National President.

“This is a make-or-break moment for the conservatives. The staggering issues in Ontario’s health care, long term care and labour laws are laid bare, and now is the time to finally help Ontario families recover, stay safe and stay healthy,” said Naureen Rizvi, Unifor Ontario Regional Director.

The Union recommended that the Ontario government focus on two simultaneous goals for budget 2021: keep Ontarians protected through the coronavirus pandemic and ensure we build a better Ontario coming out of this crisis. Read the submission.
