Unifor has launched a new app for members and activists that can be downloaded for free on  on the Google Play store or the Apple App Store.

“Members have told us they want easy access to news they can use about their union, on their mobile phones and we have delivered,” said Katha Fortier, Assistant to the National President in charge of the Local Union Task Force.

The app was designed to help keep members and allies stay up-to-date on the latest news and events of Canada’s largest union in the private sector.

By enabling notifications, app users can get alerts about union updates and ways to take action on urgent campaigns on their phones, tablets or computers.

Activists who participate in union events can also share their photos on directly with the national communications department, which can then share our union’s work on our national social media accounts.

The app is also full of information to connect rank-and-file Unifor members with events in their community.  It is also a resource for contact information for local and regional offices across the country.
