Unifor Local 1999 members working at Right Time Call Centre will see wage increases and stronger RRSP matching after ratifying a new collective agreement on November 2, 2022.

“Congratulations to the members of Local 1999 at Right Time for hanging tough in negotiations,” said Lana Payne, Unifor National President. “The myriad of gains in this agreement are well-deserved.”

The new three-year contract increases wages by approximately 6%–13% over the term of the agreement, including increases for years of service in addition to yearly general wage increases and $1,000 lump sum payments each year. There will be no tiering of pensions and the employer will maintain RRSP contributions of 3% for all seniority levels. Bereavement leave, military leave, vacation, job security, and the grievance procedure are all improved in the contract.

“This group showed great poise in fighting off concessions to bargain a good contract,” said James Tauvette, President of Unifor Local 1999.

Local 1999 represents 63 customer service representatives at the St. Catharines call centre.
