Unifor members at Local 114 who work at Brink’s Canada in British Columbia in armoured car and cash logistics have ratified a new agreement with the cash management services company by 91%.

“Congratulations to the bargaining committee for their dedicated work on this agreement,” said Unifor National President Lana Payne.
“The wages were important for Brink’s Canada workers, as well their day-to-day safety. We believe this agreement helps achieve a better working environment and a living wage especially as the cost of living continues to skyrocket.”

The four-year and two-month contract includes $1 per hour wage increases in each year, banked sick time, better workplace health and safety language around weather conditions, winter tires, and maintenance on vehicles. The deal includes a new Racial Justice Advocate position.

The local represents 140 full-time members and 71 part-time members who drive armoured cars and perform cash handling duties at five different Brink’s branches across the province: Victoria, Nanaimo, Vancouver, Prince George, and Kelowna.

About one-third of the members work in cash logistics, where they are responsible for counting the money drivers deliver to them.

The collective agreement will expire Oct. 31, 2029.

Negotiations with the Brink’s Unifor Canada bargaining committee and the company began Aug. 11 to 15, 2025, in Toronto.

“Our members are dedicated to working in a strenuous and highly skilled area of security,” said Unifor Western Regional Director Gavin McGarrigle.

“Bargaining a collective agreement is never easy, however the bargaining committee did an amazing job to help achieve the best deal they could for their members.”
