On the evening of January 18, 2019 the Bargaining Committee signed an agreement with Bell Canada for the renewal of the Collective Agreement for Sales.

The committee, representing approximately 450 members in Ontario and Quebec negotiated for several weeks, beginning in 2018, for this round of bargaining with Bell Canada.

Major issues in the negotiations included respect at work, wages, and job security. The tentative agreement is fully recommended by the Bargaining Committee.

In the coming weeks, Bell Canada Sales workers, members of at Local 6001 and 6007, will be invited to review and vote on the agreement at local meetings.

The negotiating committee included:

Sonny Malhotra Representative for Ontario
Fazal Vankalwala Representative for Ontario
Kato Nsangwa Mumba Representative of Quebec
Carlos Dion Representative of Quebec
Louise Giguère National Representative of Quebec
Robin Dudley National Representative of Ontario
Chris MacDonald, Assistant to Jerry Dias and John Caluori, Assistant to Renaud Gagné also supported negotiations.

Throughout bargaining, members in Sales relied on the support and solidarity from telecommunications workers across the country, who took action in workplaces and online to share their call for respect and a fair contract.
