Autoport Charny workers have ratified a new four-year contract, securing a 17 per cent wage increase and enhanced pension benefits.
“Securing gains at the bargaining table is only possible because of the hard work and determination of Autoport Charny members and their bargaining team,” said Unifor National President Lana Payne. “The small but mighty 12-member bargaining unit can now look forward to a more stable financial future and greater security in retirement, making this agreement a significant win.”
The contract, effective from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2028, meets the demands of members who sought better work-life balance and improved financial security. The bargaining team worked diligently to deliver on the high expectations set by the members.
“This contract provides our members with the work-life balance they’ve been seeking, along with a stronger wage package and clearer path to retirement,” said Unifor Local 100 President Cory Will. “We’re proud of what we’ve achieved, and our members are excited about the future.”
Beyond the wage and pension gains, the agreement highlights the union’s ongoing commitment to securing long-term financial stability and improved working conditions for workers at Autoport Charny.
