This course is designed to provide local union representatives with the skills and confidence required to investigate grievances, prepare for, and conduct grievance arbitration. Participants will work directly with Unifor’s in-house lawyers and seasoned National Representatives and will gain hands-on experience researching case law, preparing a file for arbitration, examining and cross-examining witnesses, developing opening and closing statements, and responding to Employer objections. Participants will have the unique opportunity to prepare and present a mock arbitration in front of a grievance arbitrator.
