Medical supplies are in high demand at health care facilities across the country due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Our workplace may have vital materials it could donate to help meet health care facilities’ urgent need for supplies.

I am writing to you on behalf of the membership of [Unifor Local XXXX] to encourage you to immediately evaluate our workplace’s current inventory of any unused, sealed and sterile medical supplies and personal protective equipment and donate as much as possible to local and regional health care facilities immediately.

The urgently needed items include:

  • Vinyl gloves
  • Gowns and coveralls
  • Eye protection
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Ventilators
  • Thermometers
  • COVID-19 Testing kits

  • Other prevention products

Local hospitals and long-term care facilities are also accepting donations locally and I encourage you to also consider getting in touch with health care sites locally to donate supplies.
