B.C.'s forestry industry is in crisis

British Columbia used to be a world-renown source of forestry products. For more than 150 years, the forestry industry has helped build the province's economy with good jobs in virtually every region.

But poor forestry management over the last two decades, especially under the B.C. Liberals, has threatened the industry with collapse. Mill closures caused by virtually unregulated raw log exports has cost thousands of jobs, especially in rural British Columbia.
