Morgan Palmer

Morgan Palmer was elected Chair of the Atlantic Regional Council in 2024, becoming the first Black person to take on the role. Prior to her election, she served as Vice-Chair beginning in 2021, and then as Interim Chair in 2022.

Morgan is a proud member of Unifor Local 2002 at Air Canada and has been involved in the union since she began working at the Saint John, N.B. customer booking centre in 2014. She first became a steward in 2017 and has taken every opportunity to attend courses at the Unifor Family Education Centre, deepening her understanding of workers’ issues and how to defend and support workers in her workplace and beyond.

Deeply committed to social justice for marginalized workers and communities, Morgan is a Unifor Discussion Leader and a trained harassment investigator for the national union. She takes great pride in being a mother to three future activists.
