VANCOUVER, Sept. 13, 2014 /CNW/ - Legendary actor and civil rights activist Danny Glover will speak to more than 1,500 delegates at the first annual Unifor Canadian Council. His remarks will address how civil rights, social justice, and labour movements have a shared history and should continue to build strong ties.

Unifor was founded Labour Day weekend 2013 when the Canadian Auto Workers and the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers unions merged. With more than 305,000 members, Unifor is Canada's largest union in the private sector.
