Unifor Local 114 members working at the Salvation Army distribution centre have ratified a new three-year collective agreement.
“Workers at the distribution centre have a physically demanding job,” said Jerry Dias, Unifor National President. “Local 114 members have earned a fair contract.”
The new contract features wage increases in each of the three years while maintaining previously negotiated workweek limitations. It also includes more generous statutory holiday working requirements.
“This group bargained hard and their work paid off,” said Mark Misic, a service representative at Local 114.
Unifor Local 114 represents 35 truck drivers, driver assistants, dock workers, and merchandise sorters at the Langley distribution centre of the Salvation Army.
