Since the start of the war in Gaza, the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) and many affiliates around the world continue their mobilization and support through public actions for journalists and media workers in Palestine.

According to the IFJ, more than 100 journalists and media workers have been killed in four months, the equivalent to seven per week.

Unifor supports the IFJ’s Day of Action to honour these fallen journalists on Mon., Feb. 26, 2024. We have designed a new poster in support of this cause, and to call for an immediate ceasefire for the violence to end.

Around the world at noon on that day, a minute of silence will be observed for the journalists killed since Oct. 7.

You can honour the journalists who paid the ultimate price for the freedom to inform by sharing the attached graphic on social media and/or printing and sharing a photo of you with the poster using the #IFJ and #Unifor hashtags. You can also send your pictures to @email.
