OSHAWA- Unifor members are currently engaged in an action at General Motors headquarters in Oshawa in response to the company’s continued resistance to upholding the commitments of the 2016 collective agreement.

“Workers in Canada will not forgive GM if it continues with the plan to close the Oshawa Assembly Plant and decimate the wider community,” said Jerry Dias, Unifor National President. “For more than 100 years Oshawa has built and supported General Motors. Today’s actions by Unifor members send the message that GM must reverse the decision to close the plant.”

Community members and media are invited to attend the action, to show support and hear from workers affected by a potential closure.
