The Canadian news landscape is changing. Lack of funding is forcing news outlets to close. More than 30 local TV stations could be threatened with closure in the next four years. Newspapers and online news websites are struggling in the new digital age as Facebook and Google grab ad dollars that once funded quality journalism.
It’s time for the Canadian government to act to help Canadian media and level the playing field!
