Planning Meeting for Area Courses

A 'Planning Meeting' is an informal, interactive meeting held with local union executive leadership and education activists.  Our goal during this meeting is to update you on the latest developments in the Education Department and to have a good round table discussions on needs, experiences and achievements.   We want to build a strategic plan that we can all use to build an informed active union.

Our goal is come out of the meeting with a comprehensive schedule of courses, have full buy in by the locals, and touch base with our community educators to make our programs as relevant as possible to the people who need them.

Quite often a local is keen to educate new leadership or potential activists yet find they are unable to meet the minimum 15 participant requirement to run a course.  To this end, this meeting will provide an opportunity for area locals to collectively draft a course schedule that will be attended by enough various local membership to meet the prerequisite.
